Crash on Baltimore National Pike leaves 37-year-old pedestrian dead

A 37-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle late Tuesday night on Baltimore National Pike in Baltimore County, police said. The crash occurred in the 5400 block of the roadway, in the Catonsville area, and remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at about 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, after a report of a pedestrian crash. Investigators said the woman was attempting to cross Baltimore National Pike when she was struck by an eastbound 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC300.

The pedestrian was identified as Jessica Davis, 37. Police said she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Driver taken to hospital; police have not released additional circumstances

The driver of the Mercedes was transported to a hospital with minor injuries, police said. Authorities have not announced whether any charges have been filed, and have not provided further details about factors such as speed, lighting conditions, traffic controls, or whether impairment is suspected.
