Federal grand jury indicts Baltimore man Antoine “Tony” Miles on child sex trafficking and enticement charges

Indictment details and charges

A federal grand jury has indicted a Baltimore man, Antoine “Tony” Miles, 57, on charges of sex trafficking of a child and coercion and enticement, federal prosecutors announced on February 20, 2026.

The indictment alleges that throughout September 2025, Miles reserved and paid for a hotel room for a minor victim for the purpose of engaging in a commercial sex act. Prosecutors also allege he persuaded, induced, and enticed the minor to engage in prostitution and a commercial sex act with him.

Under federal law, an indictment is an accusation and does not establish guilt. Miles is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Potential penalties if convicted

Federal authorities said the charges carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life imprisonment, along with lifetime sex-offender registration if a conviction is obtained. Any sentence would be determined by a U.S. district judge after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

How the investigation unfolded

Public records from Maryland State Police describe a parallel state investigation that resulted in the recovery of two juvenile females and arrests in November 2025. State police reported that their Child Recovery Unit, working with local and federal partners, identified online advertising that appeared to involve a young female being offered for sexual acts. Investigators located and recovered a critically missing juvenile in a Towson hotel in September 2025.

State police said Deion Taurence Philip was arrested on November 4, 2025, in Hanover, Pennsylvania, and that another missing juvenile female was located during that arrest. State police reported that Miles was arrested two days later at an airport in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

What authorities say remains under review

Investigators have indicated they are examining whether additional victims may be connected to the alleged trafficking activity. The federal case is being prosecuted in the U.S. District of Maryland.
