What investigators typically seek in roadway shooting inquiries
Cases involving alleged gunfire between vehicles on major highways often hinge on confirming the time and location of the reported shots, identifying the vehicles involved, and determining whether physical evidence supports the account. On interstates, investigators frequently canvass for additional witnesses and look for any available video that could clarify traffic flow, vehicle descriptions, or the sequence of events.
When there are no reported injuries, investigators generally focus on whether there was damage consistent with gunfire, whether drivers or passengers can provide consistent descriptions, and whether other motorists observed the same conduct. Police have not released information indicating an arrest or an identified suspect in the Feb. 15 incident.
