Police response followed reports of a large group causing disruptions inside the mall

Baltimore County police arrested three juveniles Saturday evening, March 7, 2026, after officers were called to White Marsh Mall for reports that a large group of young people was creating disturbances inside the shopping center. Police said the call came in around 5 p.m., and officers moved to disperse the crowd and restore order.

By late evening, authorities said an increased police presence remained in the area as officers continued managing the situation and monitoring for additional disturbances. Police did not immediately release the juveniles’ ages, specific charges, or whether any adult arrests were made.

Nearby calls and initial reports of gunfire were later walked back

The incident unfolded amid broader activity in the immediate White Marsh commercial corridor, which includes both the enclosed mall and the nearby open-air shopping and dining destination known as The Avenue at White Marsh. During the response period, police were also dispatched to a nearby restaurant on Honeygo Boulevard after a report of a shooting.

Police later said investigators found no evidence indicating gunfire and that the initial caller recanted.

Emergency medical resources were requested during the disturbance response. A volunteer fire company in the area reported that two ambulances were sent for two people who were injured during the incident. The nature and severity of those injuries were not immediately detailed publicly.

Officials point to advance planning and enforcement measures already in place

Local officials said police had prior awareness of juveniles planning to meet in the area, allowing authorities to coordinate staffing and response plans ahead of time. In the aftermath, a public safety meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 6 p.m. at a Perry Hall-area church, with participation expected from law enforcement and representatives connected to the commercial properties.

Both White Marsh Mall and The Avenue have maintained youth-escort restrictions in recent years, reflecting a broader trend among major shopping centers that have adopted policies aimed at limiting large, unsupervised juvenile groups during peak evening hours.

What remains unknown as the investigation continues

Authorities have not released detailed descriptions of what occurred inside the mall beyond characterizing the activity as disturbances. Police also have not said whether the arrests were tied to alleged assaults, property damage, disorderly conduct, trespassing, or other offenses, nor have they indicated whether additional suspects are being sought.

  • Three juveniles were arrested after police responded around 5 p.m. Saturday, March 7.
  • Officers dispersed a large group and kept an increased presence in the area afterward.
  • A separate report of gunfire at a nearby restaurant was later determined to be unsupported by evidence.
  • A community public safety meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, at 6 p.m. in Perry Hall.

Baltimore County police said more information would be released as it becomes available.
